This is the Southbend Stage 2 DRAG Clutch Kit designed for your specific application. This clutch kit has been intended for drag racing, as well as drifting and limited street use. This clutch kit includes everything needed for a clutch job, which includes a heavy duty pressure plate that has been modified for a puck style disc with no cushion between the linings which will help keep the clutch pedal travel short and quick.
The puck design disc will reduce rotational mass and total drive surface area while increasing the pounds per square inch on the surface of the friction material. This combination with minimize inertia and will accelerate the transfer of torque from the engine straight to the wheels. The material that has been employed for this race application is Graphite Impregnated Ceramic which has exceeded all other friction materials when testing for durability. The result is reduced chatter, heat transfer, as well as torque capacity.
Aside from the pressure plate and clutch disc, a new throw-out bearing, pilot bearing, as well as a clutch alignment tool will be included to make this clutch kit ready for installation.
