Product Description
DSS Chevrolet Camaro 2016 V8 Automatic 3-3/8in Carbon Fiber Shaft GMCA18-C
Our 3.25” carbon fiber driveshaft comes with a 300m stub system mounted into a billet aluminum plate to ensure not only strength but lighter weight than the normal way of doing this type of end (look closely at the CV end, it’s not all steel). Comes with special grade 12.9 extra strength hardware with back up lock nuts to ensure no loose bolts. We have been using this billet aluminum style plate for over 10 years on thousands of 1000+Hp Supras, BMWs and many more without any bolt issues.
Special Note: Rear Subframe/Cradle Lock-out kit must be installed on the vehicle prior to installing a Driveshaft Shop 1-Piece Driveshaft. Any damage to the driveshaft (or any subsequent damage) caused by failing to properly reinforce the rear cradle and limit movement will void any and all warranty provided by The Driveshaft Shop.
Driveshaft Shop Driveshafts are built to handle not only the power of drag and drift cars but also add to the efficiency of these types of racing. Aluminum has been used in drive shafts for years but most people think its just because they are lighter - Were you aware they are more torsional?
By being able to twist more than a steel shaft it will not only make the ride smoother but it will also take some of the harmful shock factor out of the drive train helping to keep up the RPM. This will also help to save most output shafts and other related drive train parts down the line. The aluminum shaft also has a higher resonant frequency than steel (a steel shaft will act as a amplifier of vibration). An aluminum shaft will deaden the vibration due to its characteristics.
