Product Description
DSS 06-10 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8 1-Piece Aluminum Front/Rear Driveshaft
Front Shaft:
This single shaft is the same design that we have been using in most modern muscle cars for the last few years and is a proven and trouble-free front shaft for the 2007-2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT. This shaft will replace the stock front shaft and eliminate the disconnected feeling you get from the stock shaft. With this new Aluminum unit (also available in carbon fiber) that uses a custom CV at both ends will make the car feel more connected or more athletic. The feedback from the gas pedal will be more responsive and will decrease 60ft times at the track. This is balanced like all shafts on our 9500rpm balancer so you know it’s done to the best standards available today.
1. Custom 108mm CVs with high speed boot and special grease
2. Spline made from 300m and installed into aluminum head for superior strength and light weight
3. Balanced on our high speed machine
4. Comes complete with all high grade hardware
5. Rated for 1000hp +
6. 1-year warranty.
Special Note: Rear Subframe/Cradle Lock-out kit must be installed on the vehicle prior to installing a Driveshaft Shop 1-Piece Driveshaft. Driveshaft Shop Driveshafts are built to handle not only the power of drag and drift cars but also add to the efficiency of these types of racing. Aluminum has been used in drive shafts for years but most people think its just because they are lighter - Were you aware they are more torsional?
By being able to twist more than a steel shaft it will not only make the ride smoother but it will also take some of the harmful shock factor out of the drive train helping to keep up the RPM. This will also help to save most output shafts and other related drive train parts down the line. The aluminum shaft also has a higher resonant frequency than steel (a steel shaft will act as a amplifier of vibration). An aluminum shaft will deaden the vibration due to its characteristics.
