Introducing our long awaited AP1 S2000 3.25″ Diameter Carbon Fiber CV driveshaft. On the Front (Transmission side) we’ve incorporated our proven 108mm CV design that has also been lightened to shed extra weight. To adapt the rear we’ve made an all new Billet Aluminum adapter plate/flange with a genuine Spicer solid 1310 series U-joint. This entire combo comes in at a very impressive 18lbs. While very close to stock weight, the vast improvements in strength and design lead to unparalleled high horsepower and high stress performance. Constructed of 3.25″ carbon, the driveshaft also offers substantial increase in torsional flex over aluminum, lessening shock to other driveline components. Using our new internally dampened design to soak up gearbox and differential noises, there are no compromises for street driven comfort! Custom Applications for differential swapped Honda S2000’s will also be available.
Driveshaft Shop Driveshafts are built to handle not only the power of drag and drift cars but also add to the efficiency of these types of racing. Aluminum has been used in drive shafts for years but most people think its just because they are lighter - Were you aware they are more torsional?
By being able to twist more than a steel shaft it will not only make the ride smoother but it will also take some of the harmful shock factor out of the drive train helping to keep up the RPM. This will also help to save most output shafts and other related drive train parts down the line. The aluminum shaft also has a higher resonant frequency than steel (a steel shaft will act as a amplifier of vibration). An aluminum shaft will deaden the vibration due to its characteristics.
